Sunday Selfies

Sunday Selfies Blog Hop hosted by The Cat on My Head with a guest appearance from two special ladies.  Click HERE to see who they are:)

We paid a visit back to Lunapic to do our Sunday Selfies.

First up is Lightning in a Christmas ornament.  He is dreaming of seeing some of that real snow in our yard.

Misty thought she looked pretty special surrounded by snowflakes, hoping that maybe she would spot some here soon too.

And poor Timber, Mom applied some needlepoint to him, but at least he is in the Christmas spirit:)

Hope you are all having a spectacular Sunday.

Caturday Art

Today we are joining Athena for the Caturday Art Blog Hop.

Mom must be thinking we are birds or something. She used the feather effect from Lunapic to "artify" us today.  Silly Mom.

Happy Caturday to all!!!

Furry Funny Friday Fun

Lightning: Did one of you two do something to make THIS happen?

Misty:  I might have giggled when I saw Ruby the Airedale with her reindeer antlers on.  Hey, I got stuck with this dumb hat!!!

Timber:  No big deal, you two - let's just get it over with so we can enjoy those treats.

And by the way, Mom, this is NOT so furry funny at all.

Thankful Thursday:)

Let's join Brian today for the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, and let's do it with a little humor:)

As we may have mentioned before, Mr. Timber was "puppy pee pad" trained.  That is a great method for SOME pups.  But Timber decided very early on that anything on the floor that was rectangular in shape and fairly flat HAD to be a pee pad.  Despite the fact that he "knew" to take care of business outside, he would inevitably hit the doormat at the backdoor, the scatter runners Mom has in the kitchen to prevent us from sliding on the hardwood when we get a little excited, the mat in front of the kitchen sink, AND the comfy beds that Lightning and Misty love, even the big coolaroo bed.  So Mom had to remove ALL the rectangles from the kitchen where we spend most of our time.

Over the past couple of months, Mom has slowly been adding the mats back to the decor.  The beds would only appear at bedtime when Timber was safely tucked away in his crate.  We are all so very thankful to announce that . . . . .

Timber has found a much better way to enjoy our beds:)

Lightning adds that he is thankful to have a dry and clean cot to snooze on too.  But he is kind enough to leave enough space for one or the other of the pups to join him.

Sometimes small reasons to be thankful can really be big things.

Note from the Momster: Timber has actually been fully potty trained for a couple of months, but we just got around to sharing our thanks:)

Mischief Monday

And NO, the mischief did not come from any member of The OP Pack.

Remember our cousin Ruby - she is a month younger than Misty.

Does she look guilty?  Remorseful?
Are you wondering what she did?

Many of you have posted about this menace - the Elf on the Shelf.  Well, grands K, C, and J have not just one, but two of them at their home.  This is Elfie, the other one is Cookie.  Elfie and Cookie were discovered Friday in the children's bookcase.  Well, at least Cookie was.  Elfie somehow made his way to Ruby's kennel.  Do you notice anything wrong with Elfie?  He is hatless. AND the hat is MIA.  It disappeared on Friday along with a bit more mischief.

As much as we are happy we don't have one of those elves watching our every move, we feel sort of badly for Elfie - looks like he has a concussion too.  How did that happen?

Why is everyone looking at ME??????  Why do you think it was ME?  Besides, if you take a look at that pest Elfie, you will see he is doing quite fine.  LOOK!!!

He looks just fine to me today.  It's his pal Cookie who seems to be struggling with those daily exercises.

OK, OK, OK - I will ponder the error of my ways and hope that Santa Paws overlooks the weakness of a young pup.

And right after we told you at the beginning of this post that there was no mischief at our home, look what happened!!!!!!

Serene Sunday with an Angel

Today would have been Angel Ciara's 8th birthday.  Her life was snatched away just two months before her 6th birthday by the evil of uncontrollable seizures.  It is still very difficult for us to look at photos of her, but she left us with beautiful memories.  Please join us today in wishing our sweet baby girl a very Happy Birthday across the Rainbow Bridge.  Here are a few photos from the past that fill our hearts with serenity.

Happy Birthday, Angel Ciara.

We miss you, Ciara, and we will love you forever!
